The whole history of Del-Tone
Since its founding in 2020, the two talented guitar builders Alvaro den Hartog and Vincent Sibum have created a new benchmark in high-quality electric guitars at the Del-Tone workshop in Halfweg, near Amsterdam. The finish also plays a key role: Del-Tone uses historic nitrocellulose lacquers, as these are open-pored and do not “suppress” the sound, as can happen with thick plastic lacquers. “You will hear the difference – even when plugged into an amp,” says Del-Tone.
Once production is complete, each guitar undergoes a final manual setup—adjustment of string action, intonation, and playability testing—before being delivered in a vintage-style case with a certificate.
