Handmade Basses from Braunschweig

Since 1986, Sandberg in Braunschweig has been building some of the best electric basses and guitars in Germany with real passion and a great deal of flair - every single piece is unique with character.

Founded by Holger Stonjek, Sandberg stands for uncompromising quality, attention to detail and genuine craftsmanship. No compromises are made here: from the first tonewood to the final adjustment, every instrument is created with the aim of inspiring musicians all over the world - whether in the studio, on tour or simply at the daily jam.

Sandberg is particularly well-known for its California series - a modular concept with enormous variety: classic or modern body shapes, different pickup layouts, exciting finishes. And if you want it to be completely individualised, head to the company's own custom shop - that's where it gets really exciting.

Sounds Like a Classic - Right From the Start

Now it's getting really special: with the Masterpiece series, Sandberg is taking the ageing of instruments to a whole new level. This is not just a look - this is a musical instrument as an art form.

But the Masterpiece is not just a visual work of art: thanks to special vibration and thermal treatment, it sounds like a vintage instrument that has been played for decades from the very first note. The sound is open, resonant, fast in response - and simply enchanting.

No two Sandberg Masterpieces are the same. But they all have one thing in common: that special aura that you can't describe - but feel as soon as you pick it up.
