Introducing: Your Dream Instrument from Fender

Every info for your decision
After the takeover by CBS in 1965, Fender tried to break new ground. The Thinline Telecaster is the next generation of the popular Fender Telecaster. The essential specifications of the Thinline Tele, which was first introduced in 1968, were retained, but it had a few special features. Various cavities in the body of the Thinline Tele were designed to reduce the weight of the guitar, which had a positive effect on playing comfort. The initially painted F-hole was intended to emphasise that the Thinline Tele was a semi-hollow guitar. However, apart from the redesigned, curved pickguard and the later change to three-point bolting, the design remained identical to the solidbody Telecaster.
The Fender Custom Shop has set itself the task of studying the high-quality vintage Telecasters of yesteryear and reproducing them down to the smallest detail. Here we have a very special Custom Shop one-off for you, modelled on a Thinline Tele from the 60s:
The Fender Custom Shop 1960 Telecaster Thinline Relic ASFGSP is a classic T-style electric guitar with a two-piece alder body. Alder wood was already used in the original Telecaster guitars and provides the basis for the perfect vintage sound. The body wood was selected by hand to ensure a particularly light weight and thus improve playing comfort. The aged riftsawn maple neck with maple fingerboard has a 60 style oval ‘C’ profile and a fingerboard radius of 9.5", which offers the perfect compromise between vintage feel and modern comfort and makes it easier for the left hand to grip. The guitar is equipped with a classic S-S pickup combination of two Fender Custom Shop Hand-Wound Loaded ‘51 Nocaster single coils. Other features include Fender vintage style tuners, dome speed knobs in chrome finish, a Fender Custom Shop '53 - '63 Tele bridge with compensated brass saddles and a 3-ply white pickguard.
This model is finished in a classic Aged Seafoam Green Sparkle. The thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish ensures that the wood can vibrate particularly well and that the lacquer finish ages more beautifully. The guitar is beautifully dinged, dented and even a little scratched. One of the most attractive features of this Relic stage is the worn neck. You'll feel the raw wood under your hand, giving you the comfort of your favourite pair of worn-in sneakers. As soon as you pick up this Relic, you'll feel like you've been playing it for years.
The Fender Custom Shop 1960 Telecaster Thinline Relic ASFGSP comes with a certificate of authenticity in a luxurious original Fender Custom Shop Brown Tolex case with burgundy lining, which you can use to transport your new dream guitar safely and protect it from external influences.
