Shipping and collection

Shipping within Germany is free for purchases over €29. If your order is placed before 12:00 p.m., it will usually be shipped the same day! This excludes orders that we have to ship with a shipping company due to their size and weight. We charge you the following shipping costs for shipping to other countries. Shipping costs are automatically calculated in the shopping cart.

Click & Collect: In addition to our normal shipping options, we also offer you the opportunity to pick up your orders yourself in our Frankfurt branch, our Walldorf branch or our central warehouse in Wiesloch, as long as your items are all available there. Please be sure to wait for our email that your ordered goods are ready for collection before you come to us .

Shop guitars and basses online without worrying about incorrect factory settings

Since almost all of us at session don't own just one instrument , we know very well that nothing is more annoying than having to play on one that resists it. Unfortunately, due to the long journeys of guitars and basses through sometimes several climate zones, the careful adjustment work of the various manufacturers is often no longer quite on point. Of course, this doesn't detract from the quality of the instrument construction itself, but unfortunately you usually don't want to get out of the box and onto the stage.

But luckily there is the session shipping checkup and that's not your problem!

When you buy a guitar or bass in one of our stores, we have previously set up the instrument so that it can be played as well as possible. Ultimately, we want you to fall in love with it and want to take it home! So that you, as an online customer, can start playing as soon as it arrives, with the exception of a quick visit to your tuning fork, ALL guitars and basses from the shipping warehouse also go through a program specific to their respective design for optimal playability.

First of all, the obvious: we make sure that all switches, pots and sockets run cleanly and have perfect electrical contact. Then the tuning mechanism is checked for smooth rotation and finally a vibration test is carried out to ensure that nothing hums or rattles.

Sound check

Then it gets down to business: the neck curvature and string position are optimally adjusted and the intonation is set up. If present, the tremolo system is leveled. The correct pickup height guarantees the best possible output. strings will be replaced if they are not in perfect condition as new. After tuning in standard tuning, a sound check is carried out and the guitar is technically tip-top!

Now the finish is inspected again and gets to know the microfiber cloth. If the finish is not optimal, the fretboard gets to know the rag for a final rite before the instrument begins its life after mail order in your trusty hands.

Last but not least, we check again whether all the accessories are there, whether the bags or suitcases are in order and whether the packaging is perfectly prepared for the last leg of the journey with the carrier to your home.

What is the difference between a checkup and a setup?

Good question! While in this checkup program we ensure that everything works as expected with the standard strings in standard tuning and that playing is a pleasure, specific special requests are taken into account in an individual setup.

We are happy to make anything possible for a fee that is fair depending on the effort involved: from winding and intonating extremely light strings to installing new pickup. Even with your used guitar or a bass that no longer has the right bass!
